The Shark Below is a Portal; and Other Dream Interpretations

This book is a collection of poetic instructions erased from my dream journal inspired by Fluxus movement of instructions and Japanese Haikus. I decided to create poetic instructions from my dreams because I was feeling lost in my waking world. Through the creative process of erasing my dreams and the dreams sent to me, I discovered that dreams are a gateway to emotional wisdom, to the voices that I’ve been conditioned to avoid, dismiss, quiet and second guess. In giving attention to these voices and making symbolic gestures towards them I find that I am beginning to align myself with the life I long for while tapping into the power and creative energy locked in the depth of dreaming.
